In a dynamic and knowledge-rich session, the Oman College of Management and Technology (OCMT) successfully concluded its professional development workshop titled “Creative Connections: Networking for Designers”, held on Monday, December 22, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM in Room AC-008.
The workshop, organized by the Training and Career Guidance Office, was led by Dr. Mohamed Al Nejem, who captivated participants with his deep insights into the importance of professional networking in creative industries an area increasingly vital for career success in today’s evolving job market. Dr. Al Nejem highlighted how designers can build meaningful and influential connections by presenting themselves and their creative work with clarity, confidence, and purpose. He emphasized that networking is not merely exchanging contact information, but a strategic process of forming long-term, mutually beneficial professional relationships. Throughout the session, students explored key strategies for building a strong professional presence, effective communication tools for showcasing creative portfolios, practical methods for initiating and sustaining industry connections, and how networking can open doors to collaboration, internships, and future career opportunities.
