Empowering Excellence: OCMT Faculty Unites to Strengthen Quality and Leadership

The Oman College of Management and Technology (OCMT) successfully held its General Faculty Assembly on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Administration Building. The event brought together all faculty members for an engaging and productive session that emphasized collaboration, accountability, and continuous academic improvement.
Chaired by the College Administration, the Assembly served as a platform to discuss key institutional updates and strategic priorities that directly impact the teaching and learning environment. Topics covered included the benefits of the recent adjustments to the Annual Faculty Appraisal, the election of a new Faculty Representative to the College Council, and initiatives aimed at reinforcing Quality Assurance in academic activities, policies, and procedures.
During the session, Dr. Hazem Migdady, Dean of the College, engaged in an open and constructive discussion with faculty members regarding the current Quality Assurance (QA) status of the college. He emphasized the importance of adopting best practices and collaborative strategies to ensure continuous improvement and successful progress through the current QA phase. His transparent approach encouraged faculty to share ideas and collectively explore innovative methods to strengthen academic and institutional quality.
One of the highlights of the Assembly was the election of Ms. Maram Saleh Ali Al-Hinai as the new Faculty Representative to the College Council. She was unanimously elected by her peers, reflecting their confidence in her leadership, dedication, and ability to represent faculty interests effectively within the council.
Faculty members actively participated in all discussions, contributing valuable insights and feedback that reflected their strong commitment to advancing the college’s mission of academic excellence. The open dialogue highlighted OCMT’s ongoing efforts to enhance transparency, improve faculty engagement, and ensure alignment with national higher education standards.
The College Administration expressed its appreciation to all faculty members for their attendance and constructive participation, emphasizing that their dedication and collaboration are vital to sustaining OCMT’s growth and success.
