As part of its active partnership with the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, and Innovation, the Oman College of Management and Technology (OCMT) made a significant contribution to the successful implementation of the 2025 Employer Survey. The survey, launched by the Ministry, serves as a strategic tool for identifying labor market needs and aligning higher education outcomes with national economic requirements.
The College’s participation came in response to the Ministry’s directives emphasizing the importance of collaboration between higher education institutions and the private sector to provide accurate data regarding graduate employment and the skills required by the labor market.
According to the Ministry’s findings, 68% of employers hired Omani graduates from higher education institutions, reflecting growing confidence in the capabilities of Omani students.
The report also indicated that the satisfaction rate with graduates’ skills reached 76%, particularly in key areas such as teamwork and innovation.
OCMT’s contribution to this survey was especially significant, as the College provided data on its graduates employed in various organizations included in the study. Through this data, the College reaffirmed its commitment to equipping students with the practical skills required in the labor market, thereby enhancing their professional readiness.
The College administration welcomed the Ministry’s emphasis on the importance of implementing the survey’s recommendations to improve academic and training programs. It also affirmed that these outcomes serve as strong motivation to further strengthen cooperation with industry and expand new opportunities for employment and innovation.
This initiative comes as part of the College’s continuous efforts to enhance its academic outputs in alignment with Oman Vision 2040, and to reinforce its role as a leading educational institution contributing effectively to building a sustainable knowledge-based economy that benefits both students and the labor market.
